We can Paint the Sky of others. Here is a blank thank you card from Cardinal Bend Workshop, a card thanking others for how they have influenced my life. To the left is an drawing of a girl who is painting the sky, from the edges of the rainbow continues more of the painting onto the card itself. The watercolor paints match well and are brilliant in color. “Thanks for painting my sky!” is written on the top right corner.
The Story Behind the Card
There have been so many people that have been a blessing to me and I wanted to have a card that would really say, “Thank you” my way. Thank you for being there and making my day brighter. For giving me a boost and showing your love.
My mother who has encouraged me to start a business.
Kimber’s piano teacher who let us borrow her car when ours went down
The violin teacher who spent lots of time and patience with Kimber
My daughters who are there to help when needed
My husband who goes to work when he doesn’t want to.
I have given away more of these than I have sold because there are so many people that I need to thank. So many people who Paint the Sky right when I need it. Each and everyone of these special people has painted my sky with their thoughtfulness, kindness and love. This card is available in the shop section of this blog or on ESTY
We know that God says, “My Grace is sufficient for thee…” The verse continues, “For my strength is made perfect in weakness.” This verse gives us comfort as we remember that there is grace sufficient when we are going through a rough time. He promises that we will not have to go through more than we can bear. You can look at the inside of the card on our shop, the inside of the card reads,
We know God has a purpose,
We know all things work together of our
We know God’s way is best,
We know that we can trust him,
We know he will carry us,
But that doesn’t take the burden away!
PRAYING FOR YOU!
The Story Behind the Card
When hard times come, God’s promises while known don’t take away the fact that we need to go through what we need to go through. A friend of mine was in this situation recently. She is the mother of 5 young children. Two of her daughters had gone through serious sicknesses. They both had been in the hospital within a matter of weeks. The second daughters stay in the hospital was for about a week. She was out for about a week and had to go back for another five days. The situation was serious but there was an end in sight. THEN, the mother discovered that her youngest son was having some problems seeing.
She took him to a painting, covered his left eye and asked what he saw. Everything was fine. Then she did the same thing with the other eye. The result was different. This time he only saw maybe 10% of the picture and everything else was black. Talk about a heavy weight. She brought him to an eye appointment with a specialist. He told them that her son had a detached retina. The result is one and possibly a follow up surgery. Even with all the surgeries there is little hope of his sight being recovered.
The burden is there, the burden is great, we cannot deny it….yet we must remember, “My grace is sufficient for thee.” The card is available on ESTY.
A new Child’s Princess Get Well Card is being released from Cardinal bend. This card is for a young girl who needs some encouragement during an illness. Little girls find a long stay in the hospital, a broken limb or a rough cold can be hard work. Your sick child will be pleased when she opens her card and discovers it is a princess paper doll. This card will be one that will end up well used and remembered for some time.
The inspiration of this card came from a little girl at our church who was very sick. She caught a very strong stomach virus that put her in the hospital. One event lead to another, because of her loss of weight and other complications she ended up on a feeding tube. The pain and trauma she must be feeling was enough to cause me to feel for this little girl. She came home with a greater burden then just being sick. Being on a feeding tube she is unable to eat for at least two weeks. This means that she has to watch her family sit down to dinner and she can’t have any. She is unable to play with her brothers and sisters, yet watches them run in the woods and swim in the pool. I felt she needed lots of encouragement. So I made this card for her. Her mother said, “She opened the card and yelled, ‘Mom, its a paper doll!” I know it was liked that is thrilling.
I trust that the little girl you know who is sick will be encouraged by this card and have loads of fun. At least for a little while she may be able to forget her illness. This card is available at Cardinal Bend Workshop @ ETSY and in the Encouragement section of the shop on this page.
